Bag in boxes are an innovative storage solution for wine, cider, fruit juice and other drinks. The bags and Vitop taps provided form a vacuum seal that prevents outside air and organisms from getting in and spoiling the liquid inside. Liquid can be dispensed from the tap and the bag will collapse without letting in any air, keeping the remaining liquid fresh.
How long can you store drinks with these:
- Pasteurised juice (can be pasteurised in the bag): 6 to 12 months.
- Unpasteurised cider: 3 to 6 months.
- Pasteurised cider: 6 to 12 months.
Bag in boxes are very easy to assemble; push the crash-lock base into position and fold the lid according to the number.
Tip: Do not overfill the bags. Measure out no more than 10 litres when filling. Bags can be filled under but never over. Too much liquid can place too much pressure on the bags leading to a potential situation.
