Meet Bob Chaplin

Meet Bob Chaplin, our esteemed cider consultant with nearly fifty years of experience in the cider industry. Bob spent over forty years at The Shepton Mallet Cider Mill, contributing to the technical department, New Product Development, and various production roles covering the entire cider-making process – from orchard management to bottling and packaging.

Bob's recent endeavours include working with a start-up cider business and acting as a consultant, assisting cider makers in the South West. Beyond his professional commitments, Bob's passion for cider is evident in his role as the secretary to The South West of England Cider Makers' Association. He is heavily involved in the British Cider Championship at the Bath & West Show and serves as a cider judge at numerous competitions.
